To engage Pearl River Valley Opportunity,
Inc. as a Sub grantee for the Mississippi Healthy Marriage
Initiative in Adams, Amite, Claiborne, Copiah, Covington,
Jefferson, Jefferson Davis, Lamar, Marion, Franklin, Pike,
and Wilkerson counties. Promoting healthy marriages is an
important strategy for enhancing the well-being of the
child. To promote the well-being of children by encouraging
the involvement of mothers and fathers in their lives,
Mississippi will implement programs to :
- Advocate strong healthy
marriages;
- Increase father involvement in the lives of their
children;
- Reduce out-of-wedlock pregnancies.
Funds will be made available through the
Mississippi Department of Human Services, Division of
Economic assistance, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families
(TANF) program.
